Meeting Jim Clements!

Upon making a 4.0 for my first semester of college, I expected to receive a piece of paper congratulating me on my achievement. What I received instead was much more valuable. I was honored to be invited to the Mortar Board 4.0 Reception. I met so many kind, amazing people at this event. When Clemson University's President, Jim Clements, spoke to us, his message was very encouraging. I admired his dedication to serving the students and I appreciated him giving his time to us that day.

On top of taking pictures with the students, he even offered to make a personalized video message for us to share with our friends and family! Overall, this experience motivated me to continue working hard. I will never forget this event!
